MONDAY BAGGED LEAF PICK-UPS RETURN
This season, Baltimore residents have three ways to dispose of their bagged leaves.
1. With your regularly scheduled trash pick up:
The Bureau of Solid Waste will collect up to 5 bags of bagged leaves from each address on the regularly scheduled trash collection day. Residents need to put leaves in clear or labeled bags and place them at their regular mixed refuse collection location and not in the public right-of-way. Between Monday collections and regular mixed refuse collections, the Bureau of Solid Waste will collect across up to 25 bags of leaves per week per city resident–a 25% increase from last year and a 150% increase from the year before!
2. By calling 311 to schedule Monday pick ups:
For residents with more than 5 bags of leaves, Solid Waste crews will collect up to 20 bags of leaves from each address every Monday for residents who call 311 before Sunday at 10 p.m. for the following Monday collection to schedule a pickup. Collections will occur from Monday, October 17, 2011 through Monday, January 30, 2010 except:
- December 26, 2011 (the observed Christmas holiday),
- January 2 (the observed New Year’s holiday), and
- January 16, 2011 (Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Birthday)
Residents may make multiple appointments for up to two months prior to the pick up date.
3. Dropping leaves off yourself:
Residents can also drop off bagged leaves at the following five times and Bureau of Solid Waste locations:
