Fells Prospect Awarded $1000 Grant from Parks & People
Fells Prospect was awarded a $1000 grant from Parks and People Foundation for the beautification of the S Chester Street lots adopted by Fells Prospect. The Fells Prospect Garden Club has maintained the two lots since early 2011.
Special thanks to Laura Irwin for preparing the grant application and working with Parks and People. We look forward to the completion of this project in 2012.
The Complete Streets Plan
Baltimore Southeast CDC and Baltimore DOT have won a $400,000 grant for streetscape improvements in Highlandtown. This money will go towards the 2008 "Complete Streets Plan" that assessed the transportation impact of new development projects in southeast Baltimore, including roadway capacity, signaltiming improvements, new bike lanes, traffic flow changes, and new bus and water taxi service. The draft plan contains a wealth of data about SE Baltimore as well as ideas and plans for improving the city environment. Read more...

Alley Gating
This summer, Fells Prospect completed an alley-gating project in areas of Fells Prospect that have had issues with crime and grime. Thank you to the Baltimore Community Foundation for awarding Fells Prospect a grant for the project and to residents who donated funds for its completion.
