I would also like to thank our outstanding board members for all the volunteered hours you have given to the community association.

This also was a year of partnerships; we have tackled many issues some easy and hard with our fellow community associations. At times we have supported them and they us. I am a firm believer we are part of a greater Fells Point community and hope to strengthen these partnerships. I would also like to thank all neighboring associations and groups for assisting us in making the greater Fells Point community a better place to live work and play.
This is our last newsletter for 2009 and I would like to encourage you to patron our local businesses this holiday season. I know this is a challenging time for many of us; some of our businesses are suffering as well. Those of you, who are able to go out go local, buy local and play local. We have some of the best bars and restaurants in the area and let’s keep it that way.
In closing, the Fells Prospect board looks forward to the upcoming year. we have many things still yet to do. We hope to see more of you will becoming involved in the association knowing things can happen. Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays
See you in 2010
Merry Christmas

The Land Use Committee has been quiet lately. Very few applications have been submitted for zoning variances in Baltimore in the last months.
The bulbs and trees planted at the Gough Street entrance to Patterson Park are thriving. More trees are coming, and bulbs may be planted at the Bank Street and Eastern Avenue entrances.
Social
Our monthly meetings now feature a raffle for gift certificates from local restaurants. At the May meeting, the raffle prize is a $50.00 certificate to M&S Grill. We would like to thank M&S Grill and Mr. Anwar Hall for helping us secure this donation.
Marketing & Communications
Fells Prospect will be selling bags with the new Fells Prospect logo. They are perfect for food shopping and trips to the farmers market, which opened May 3. The price of the bags is $5.00 each, and proceeds will be used for beautification projects in the community.
Crime is up in our area, with many home robberies and theft from autos. Please secure your home, and don't leave anything in sight in your car.
The reverse angle parking project has been completed on Gough Street, Collington Street, and targeted blocks of Bank Street. The next streets to be converted are Fairmont, Chester, and Ann Streets. No money available for wheel stops; use creative ways to protect trees from car bumpers
